Hillbilly Striped Tomato

One of the Best Striped tomatoes on the market! This tomato fits it name because it originated in the hills of West Virginia in the 1880’s. The good yields of this indeterminate, beefsteak style plant are held on tight by strong, hardy stems which is needed because of their consistent, over 1 ½ pound, weight. Some staking or trellising may be needed for these “mater” makers! The fruits are orange & yellow colored with rose red, blushed streaks when ripe. The rich, lingering, sweet tasting flesh is meaty and has a low acid content with low amounts of seeds. When sliced, a nice exploding star pattern will catch tomato lovers attention. This variety is also crack resistant and heat tolerant.
