Danvers 126 Carrot

A classic, all purpose heirloom variety that is a gardener’s favorite. The 7” long carrots are nicely sweet, with tender texture, making them an excellent home processing type. The orange/red roots are large, growing up to 2” wide at the shoulder top before slightly tapering down. Stems grow between 12-18” tall and are very strong at harvest pulling time. Very tolerant to heat and strongly resists many diseases. This carrot works well in clay or heavy soils due to its high fiber content and does not split or crack easily.
