Certified Organic seed. Native to southern Europe and originally called French pot marigold. Used extensively by King Henry VIII’s cooks for its rich color attributes in cooking. This hardy annual or short lived perennial grows 12-15 inches tall with yellow/orange flowers. Flowers, which close at night and reopen in morning, are edible and have been known to bloom till a killing frost hits them lending to a longer harvest season than most flowers.

MEDICINAL BENEFITS & USES — Flowers are the only part used medicinally. They are a premier anti-septic and healing agent when used in salves, tinctures, or simply rubbed on an injury. Inhibits inflammation and speeds healing by promoting cell growth/repair.
