Sweet Spanish White Onion

Popular, white-skinned, white flesh onion used by many. Used traditionally in most Mexican cuisines, but is also a great soup/salad addition. This large, firm, lightly sweet-flavored onion globe can reach up to 1 lb. in size. It is less pungent than its yellow cousins. Since it is a Long-Day variety, needing 14-16 hours of daylight for best results, it is a good choice for gardens north of the KS/OK line! A short storage keeper that, when sauteed, will cook to a sweet, golden brown. Also good for onion rings!
