Cherokee Trail of Tears Pole Bean
$3.50
This bean, also called Cherokee Black, has been passed down from the historic Indian “death march” in the winter of 1838. Plants will grow up to 10′ tall, so trellising is a must! They produce 6″ long, green pods with pitch black, shiny beans. A very good soup or dry bean that can be snapped and eaten fresh also. Also showed resistance to Japanese Beetles in our test plot.
